Next week, Episode 5 will be dropping, featuring a big discussion on the elements of ME3 we weren’t able to cover in our 2 hour Mass Effending episode: gameplay and multiplayer!

This poll is focused on the multiplayer aspect. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, in ME3 you can acquire new characters, guns, items and equipment in multiplayer by spending credits on item packs. Credits are obtained in-game by completing mission objectives during matches; you can also spend real money on each pack.

By default, there are three packs: Recruit, Veteran and SPECTRE. Each is progressively more expensive and contains better chances of getting rare or uncommon items.

As it stands, there is no way to buy items, equipment or characters directly; you must unlock them via the random packs.

We’re going to talk about this for sure, so I wanted to let you guys get some input via this poll! What do you think of the item system? Vote now!

Due to some technical errors, there won’t be an episode of Chronicles of a GM posted today. With luck, we’ll have one tomorrow, but worst case we may have to re-record the Mass Effect 3 episode and you’ll get it next week.

The original plan for today was to have episode four up, featuring a big discussion on Mass Effect 3.

Due to some IRL issues with the guest hosts, not everyone was able to beat the game in time, and given all the controversy surrounding the ending, I felt it would be best to wait until we were all finished so we could have a proper conversation.

Therefore I am delaying episode four by one week! Come back next Wednesday for a potentially LONG discussion on Mass Effect 3! I’m probably going to scrap the Design Blog section of the show for next week in order to fit in all the good stuff because there is a LOT to talk about.
